LIC HUMANITARIAN EFFORT

In the aftermath of the Lebanese latest tragedy and after a careful review of the situation of the displaced victims, The Lebanese Information Center is launching a vast effort to help the Lebanese families who suffered from the war with their basic necessities including health, housing and schooling.

For this purpose, the LIC opened a special account: the LIC AID Lebanon fund to collect money from contributors in the US and send it to the distressed in Lebanon.

Also, the LIC is teaming up with the Coalition for the Defense of Human Rights and created the Lebanese Christian Relief fund to assist Lebanese families in hardship.

The money raised will go to charitable organizations in Lebanon working specifically on humanitarian aid.  The LIC intends to start with Auxilia Medical-a health assistance group already helping the displaced with their medical needs.

The LIC will be looking for similar organizations with a clear mission and a well-established structure and personnel, making sure that money sent from the US will be given in totality to the proper recipients and not spent to cover organizational expenses.

Donations are to be made to:

  1. LIC AID Lebanon by check or by wire.

  2. Lebanese Christian Relief by check or by wire.
