The Lebanese
Army’s victory was realized through the painful
sacrifices of its officers and of its enlisted
men and thanks to its wise leadership, to the
mandate and support it was given by the
Government of Lebanon and the moral and
political support of the Lebanese people. As
long as it remains above the political
fray resisting malicious efforts to distract it
from its mission, the Lebanese Army is destined
to play an increasingly significant role in
maintaining domestic stability and in
safeguarding Lebanon’s sovereignty and
independence.
